After a new set of wheels but can’t be bothered trekking all the way across the world to find it? Well, Autotrader have given portability and intelligence to finding your new dream car by releasing its iPhone and iPad application. The application works basically like the website search, it allows you to search by brand, keyword, price, style, type, engine size… You get the point.

The usability of the application is smooth and easy to use. I’ve played around with some various similar apps in the past, including searching the mobile web version of Auto Trader. All proved very sluggish and a bit fumbly, so I’m very pleased that Auto Trader have came out with something so easy to use and nice looking!

The app lets you set all manner of search parameters for both cars and motorbikes, offering detailed technical specifications on innumerable makes and models.

Although the App isn’t brand new to the market, the newer version has some exciting new features. One that includes a section called ‘My Garage’. This lets users log in to save individual searches and vehicle information across both the mobile version and the web version (on a desktop PC), meaning you can quickly get back to a favoured car no matter where you’re searching from. The new and improved Auto Trader app for iPhones and iPads will be just what you need then, filling your petrolhead with info on over 340,000 new and used vehicles.
