Toyota announced today that they will be pulling a whopping 7.43 million vehicles world wide. Including major markets in U.S, Japan and Europe.

The reason for this being a faulty power switch that they fear will stop working in vehicles produced from 2005 through to 2010.

The following vehicles have been recalled:

North America are the Yaris, Corolla, Matrix, Camry, RAV4, Highlander, Tundra, Sequoia and Scion models xB and xD. Recalled in Japan are the Vitz, Belta, Ractis, Ist, Auris and Corolla Lumimon. The Yaris, Corolla, Auris, Camry and Rav-4 are recalled in Europe. China, Australia, other Asian nations and the Middle East are also affected.

Toyota says that the problem was down to the power window switch on the drivers side not having grease applied, causing the switch to create friction and sometimes smoke. However, no crashes or risk to the driver has been reported with this problem.
